Test Analyst

As a Test Analyst you will be a building member of a strongly growing, result driven IT Company. The company is located nearby Amsterdam and consists of a team of about 50 developers, testers, business analysts and software engineers. You will be working in a small, informal and pleasant atmosphere with more than 19 different nationalities. The company designs, modifies, develops, maintains and improves software systems and application for major financial institutions in the Netherlands and other European countries. As a Test Analyst you will be working with a team of developers, engineers, analysts and others to design, develop and modify software system and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Your specific role and responsibilities will be to:

_Review product and system functional requirements and create test cases to ensure that overall quality is delivered
_Identify, analyze, and document all defects (software bugs) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications
_Identify test data requirements for test case execution and create if required
_Be responsible for the analysis, reporting and communication of test results on all assigned projects, including outstanding defects and test status
_Assist in evaluating product and application defects reported by customers and make recommendations for their correction
_Execute manual and automated test cases and scripts
_Document and validate resolution of identified defects
_Assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies
_Escalate test (quality) risks to management with mitigation activities, where possible
_Participant in the review process, primarily Test Plans and test cases
_Travel regularly to client offices in different countries

_University degree
_ISEB/ISTQB Foundation of Software Testing certified
_3+ years experience as a Test Analyst
_2+ years experience with Quality Center
_Knowledge and experience of financial services
_Very good verbal and written skills in English
_Strong analytical skills and basic programming fundamentals
_Good understanding MS Office applications, especially Excel
