Support Analyst

As a Support Analyst you will be a building member of a strongly growing, result driven IT Company. The company is located nearby Amsterdam and consists of a team of about 50 developers, testers, business analysts and software engineers. You will be working in a small, informal and pleasant atmosphere with more than 19 different nationalities. The company designs, modifies, develops, maintains and improves software systems and application for major financial institutions in the Netherlands and other European countries. There are plenty of career opportunities within the company. You will be coached and trained according to fields of your interests.

As a Support Analyst you will be required to analyze clients’ questions/problems and respond accordingly. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:

_respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
_diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
_research questions using available information resources
_advise user on appropriate action
_follow standard help desk procedures
_log all help desk interactions
_administer help desk software
_redirect problems to appropriate resource
_identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
_track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
_prepare activity reports
_stay current with system information, changes and updates

_University education and degree
_A minimum of 3 years experience in financial services
_Experienced in financial risk management (Basel II and Solvency II)
_Knowledge of modern methodologies (UML, RUP, DSDM) and SOX-compliance
_Minimal 3 years experience in client faced services position
_Good verbal and written skills in English
_Strong analytical, communication and social skills
_Good time management skills
_Ability to work under pressure
