As a Sales Manager, you will be a building member of one of the largest providers of Secure Web Gateways and the largest independent provider of Web and e-mail content security in the world. The company is located in UK and has an offices in Holland. For the Amersfoort office, we are looking for a Sales Manager that can take on this interesting challenge.
Job description
Major Responsibilities:
1. Achieve Territory Sales Target (Quota).
2. Develop business with Distribution Channels (Distributors, Resellers/VARs) – recruit, train and support channels (including supporting initial sales activities with the Resellers/VARs propspects).
3. Define Sales & Marketing Plan for the Channels, execute and monitor this.
4. Direct touch and sales development with medium (& small) size accounts.
Secondary Duties:
1. Shared responsibility for Marcom and General Sales Promotion activities in the Territory - brochures, exhibitions, seminars, demos, advertisements, P.R...
2. Responsibility for Partner's Payments and Financial Status.
3. Responsibility for Partner's Training.
4. F.U. Logistical support to Partners in the Territory (orders, pricing, delivery time, order acknowledgments & shipments).
5. Responsibility for handling Sales Leads and F.U. in the Territory.
Principal Working Relationships:
1. Reports to Regional Sales Manager.
2. Inbound – Works with Sales Engineers, Support/Operations & Finance.
3. Outbound – Works with Customers/Partners.
Job requirements
- Experience in Sales & Development of Marketing channels (Distributors/Resellers) – essential
- Knowledge of IT technologies, computer software and networking – essential
- Experience in IT Security – advantage.
- Other requirements – close commute to Company’s office in Amersfoort (NL)
Sales / Industry Experience
• 3+ Years selling enterprise level technology products (Direct touch)
• Successful Track Record (exceeding targets)
• Experience selling to Development Managers
• Experience working with / driving business through Partners and Resellers
• Security Industry Experience (PLUS)
• Experience selling services (PLUS)
• Strong technical understanding of development tools and methodologies (PLUS)
• Called on Fortune 1000, Financial Services, Federal, State & Local (PLUS)
Sales Skills:
• Proven ability to prospect, qualify, handle objections, close, etc.
• Strong verbal, presentation, written, and organizational skills
• High activity generation (50+ Calls a day)
• Ability to sell Concepts / Big Picture / Vision
• Ability to utilize Web-Based Systems to deliver “on-line” presentations / demos
• Team Player (works well with team to achieve company and individual goals)
• Ability to Utilise/Maximize all resources at their disposal
• Ability to balance individual and team performance
