Mobile Developer

As a Mobile Developer you will be working for a leading social network company in the center of Amsterdam. This young company has grown to have the largest website in the Netherlands. The company operates according to a custom Agile development process and works on its own application. The mobile developer will design, code, test and deploy native C/C++/Objective C applications for mobile phones. Mobile social networking applications includes applications for location based services, photo browsing & uploading, messages, chat and other social networking features. This also includes development for the iPhone as well as popular Symbian/Windows Mobile phones. Development also includes building the backend API's and scaling the serverfarm for mobile apps.

• MSc/Masters degree in IT or any relevant discipline;
• 3+ years C++/Objective-C development experience;
• Broad knowledge and experience with other modern OO languages like Java, C# or Ruby;
• Extensive experience with Linux, Web 2.0 technologies, App Servers/LAMP, MySQL (or MS-SQL, Oracle, etc.);
• Real world OO Design experience and up-to-date knowledge of Design Patterns and UML;
• Real Scrum/Agile development experience;
• Broad IT knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems, Networks and Databases;
• Outstanding achievements in world-class environments;
• Bonus: Hands-on with the iPhone, Android, Symbian or Windows Mobile platform(s).
