Java Web Developer

As a Java Web Developer you will be working for one of the leading IT companies in the Netherlands which provides state of the art solutions for its growing number of international clients. You will play a major part in developing and maintaining companies' CMS and portal software. The company has offices in the Netherlands and USA. At the Amsterdam branch you will be working together with a team of 50 developers on challenging tasks.

• Design, build and implement great websites, intranet- and other web solutions
• Interpret hard to grasp information and define the root of the problem in a complex IT environment
• Innovate by introducing new ideas for existing products
• Work together with project managers and support analysts to deliver high quality projects on time
• Use website analysis software to test, measure and optimize
• Document best practises and share your knowledge with your co-workers
• Assist clients with questions, change requests, bugs and other issues
• Analyse problems

• University degree
• Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring, JSP, JSF, Wicket, SpringMVC, or other (Java) frameworks;
• Familiar with content management systems and portals
• Standards such as JSR 168,286/170, REST;
• Application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss;
• Open source projects such as Lucene, Jetspeed Portal, Hippo CMS, Cocoon, Jackrabbit;
• Knowledge of open source libraries and testing frameworks;
• Agile methods like XP and Scrum;
• Web technologies like AJAX en JavaScript
• You are a quick learner and eager to learn new technologies
