Front End Developer

As a Front End Developer you will be working for a leading social network company in the center of Amsterdam. This young company has grown to have the largest website in the Netherlands. You will be working in the product development department, which is responsible for concept- and product development, communication with members, partners and clients. The department works on translating ideas to products, which requires much creativity, broad online knowledge, project management skills and team spirit. Because of the large scale of the operation, you will be expected to produce the highest quality.

• University degree in IT or any relevant discipline;
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a front end developer in a creative and technical environment;
• You have worked on development of software used by large numbers of people;
• Online portfolio which shows your masterpieces;
• Extensive knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, Javascript, web standards and photoshop;
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages and platforms, like PHP/MySQL;
• You see product development as a challenge;
• Bonus: experience with Smarty, PHP templateengine and Pototype.
