Core Developer - relocation possible

As a Developer you will be working for a leading social network company in the center of Amsterdam. This young company has grown to have the largest website in the Netherlands and needs a Developer with Web 2.0 technology experience to join the team of young and motivated Developers from various countries.

As a Developer you will be working in a non-formal yet professional working environment and have the opportunity to work in a highly skilled and motivated team of young IT professionals.

As a Developer you will be working for a company that operates according to a custom Agile development process. The focus is on cool code and applications. PHP Developers spend 90% of their time in IDE. Reports, UML and consultations are not an end but a means. Decision pathways and Deploy cycles are very short, so there inconsiderable momentum. The software written by you is used by millions of people each month!

_Minimum of an MSc/Masters degree in IT or any relevant discipline;
_3+ years PHP development experience creating commercial web applications – NOT PHP websites;
_Broad knowledge and experience with other modern OO languages like Java, C# or Ruby;
_Extensive experience with Linux, Web 2.0 technologies, App Servers/LAMP, MySQL (or MS-SQL, Oracle, etc.);
_Real world OO Design experience and up-to-date knowledge of Design Patterns and UML;
_Bonus: Hands-on with: LAMP stack, NGINX, Python, MemCached, Prototype, Scriptaculous, Propel, Smarty, Python,or Twisted/Pyrex libraries;
_Real Scrum/Agile development experience;
_Broad IT knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems, Networks and Databases;
