Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst you will be a building member of a strongly growing, result driven IT Company. The company is located nearby Amsterdam and consists of a team of about 80 developers, testers, business analysts and software engineers. You will be working in a small, informal and pleasant atmosphere with more than 20 different nationalities. The company designs, modifies, develops, maintains and improves software systems and application for major financial institutions in the Netherlands and other European countries. There are plenty of career opportunities within the company. You will be coached and trained according to fields of your interests.

• Gather and define requirements of the business together with the client
• Consult with client to ensure agreement on system principles
• Design and define system to serve new purposes or improve work flow
• Produce gap analysis reports
• Write other functional requirements specifications
• Assist with the system design to meet business requirements
• Participate in the sales phase with the client and provide input into the proposal
• Become a content expert on the project to serve as a source for members of the development team

Skills & Knowledge

• University education and degree (preferable Business or IT related)
• A minimum of 3 years experience in financial services
• Experienced in: Insurance risk management, especially "Actuarial" experience and BPM
• Experienced in requirements management and/or process modelling
• Knowledge of modern methodologies (UML, RUP, DSDM) and SOX-compliance
• Minimal 5 years experience in client faced analyst position
• Good verbal and written skills in English
• Strong analytical, communication and social skills
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
